An E-Z Year for Delaware's E-ZPass
Dover - Transportation Secretary Nathan Hayward III, Toll Operations Manager PJ Wilkins, and local officials will celebrate the one-year anniversary of the new Delaware E-ZPass during a ceremony scheduled November 1, 2004 at 1 p.m. The event will be held at the Delaware E-ZPass Customer Service Center (CSC) in Dover.
The 24/7 Concept (Real People solving Real Concerns) offers greater accessibility, responsiveness and efficiency in serving the thousands of Delaware E-ZPass patrons. In an industry first, Delaware E-ZPass customers are able to contact customer service representatives 24-hours a day, seven days a week. In addition to walk-in service (available from 7am to 11pm), Internet access and telephone response systems are also options for customers to use when they have account inquiries.
The CSC, which is operated by contractor TransCore, handles all services for Delaware E-ZPass customers. Approximately 60 new Delaware jobs have been established. Since opening the call center has opened 86,000 new accounts, issued nearly 167,000 transponder devices, and answered 127,000 telephone calls.
TransCore provides world-class toll industry services to many of the largest toll authorities in the country.
PJ Wilkins stated, "Since separating from the New Jersey E-ZPass Program, Delaware has taken the extra steps necessary to ensure our customers receive the best service possible."
The E-ZPass Customer Service Center is located at 26 Old Rudnick Lane in Dover. The toll free number is 1-888-EZPassDE (397-2773), walk-in hours are 7am to 11pm. The web address is www.ezpassde.com.
